Sebastian Mullaert & Tamarma invite you to create your own soundscape for their new album
As part of the forthcoming album launch of ‘Holds The Sky’ by Swedish producer, composer and live artist Sebastian Mullaert and Georgian electronic artist Tamarma (Tamara Davitashvili), they have created an exciting new concept to invite listeners to participate in.
In Sebastian’s own words:
“Dear Creative Being. We believe releasing music can be more than sharing something finished. It can also become an invitation to create.
On September 25th, Tamarma and I are releasing our album Holds the Sky on ASW. Alongside the album, I have created a series of sparse, open soundscapes, leaving space for something else to appear.
A voice, an instrument, movement, words, field recordings, rhythm, or something completely unexpected.
Download it, spend some time with it, play, listen, move, and see what appears. Try not to decide too quickly what you should make.
If you feel inspired, record a simple video of your process and share it with us. It doesn’t need to be polished. Tag us and we would love to reshare some of your expressions.
If your exploration develops into a musical interpretation you would like to send us, DM me for the submission details. Later this year, Tamarma and I will select a number of contributions for a special @heldbyearth.journeys listening session.”
